[Your Own Personal Apocalypse, Dance Away Your Debt] Kolos recently completed a Masters in Comparative Media Studies at MIT. She also has a BFA from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. She has worked in a number of after-school programs, including one at the School of the Future, where she co-taught a high school filmmaking class. She has also worked at a not-for-profit production company that produces documentaries on current issues in education for PBS. Seeking more experience in the classroom, she went on to work as a media educator in New York City schools. She currently works as a media mentor for Adobe, advising teachers on how to incorporate media into their curricula. She was inspired to return to graduate school after reading the white paper produced by Project NML for the MacArthur Foundation. In the future, she hopes to work as a consultant to help teachers incorporate new media literacy skills into their classrooms.
